"Three Translations of The Koran (Al-Qur'an) side by side"

002.238
Y: Guard strictly your (habit of) prayers, especially the Middle Prayer;
and stand before Allah in a devout (frame of mind).
P: Be guardians of your prayers, and of the midmost prayer, and stand up
with devotion to Allah.
S: Attend constantly to prayers and to the middle prayer and stand up
truly obedient to Allah.
002.239
Y: If ye fear (an enemy), pray on foot, or riding, (as may be most
convenient), but when ye are in security, celebrate Allah's praises in
the manner He has taught you, which ye knew not (before).
P: And if ye go in fear, then (pray) standing or on horseback. And when
ye are again in safety, remember Allah, as He hath taught you that
which (heretofore) ye knew not.
S: But if you are in danger, then (say your prayers) on foot or on
horseback; and when you are secure, then remember Allah, as. He has
taught you what you did not know.
002.240
Y: Those of you who die and leave widows should bequeath for their
widows a year's maintenance and residence; but if they leave (The
residence), there is no blame on you for what they do with themselves,
provided it is reasonable. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.
P: (In the case of) those of you who are about to die and leave behind
them wives, they should bequeath unto their wives a provision for the
year without turning them out, but if they go out (of their own accord)
there is no sin for you in that which they do of themselves within
their rights.
